Respite or short stay care is available at Farnham Mill Nursing & Dementia Home for those individuals who require a short stay.
A short term stay may be needed for a period of convalescence after an operation or illness, or because a resident’s usual carer is on holiday.
Every resident receives personalised physiotherapy in our weekly clinic. In addition to this, those residents joining us for respite or rehabilitation receive weekly individual physiotherapy sessions which is included in the fees.
It is our aim that residents who choose to stay with us for respite care feel at home, comfortable, and respected by all our staff. Our approach to respite care is as thorough as our long term care approach. Respite residents often go home looking and feeling healthier having benefitted from our care.
Our staff to resident ratio is far higher than average at 1:3 ½ . We never have to use agency staff.
We do all we can to ensure respite residents feel welcome and valued, because in our experience they want to come back again, for future care. With over 50% of the team having been at the home for over 5 years, we always ensure consistent care from an excellent team.
