Last week at Farnham Mill, residents enjoyed a vibrant Nepal-themed activities week! From exploring Nepalese culture to tasting traditional delicacies and creating colourful crafts, it was a wonderful journey through the sights, sounds, and flavours of Nepal. The week was filled with fun, laughter, and new discoveries, bringing everyone together for a memorable celebration of this beautiful country’s rich heritage.
7th October, Celebrating the culture and traditions of Nepal, this week, at Farnham Mill. We started our Monday off by making our own Nepalese prayer flags. Bright and bold in colour making our lounge look vibrant and beautiful.
A lovely Monday afternoon tea at Farnham Mill. One of our favourite activities, for sure, as we enjoyed a cuppa, quiz and a selection of chef’s homemade cakes. Simply a delicious afternoon at Farnham Mill.
8th October, the Farnham Mill team spiced up Nepali Week with a flavourful Nepalese chicken curry this morning, filling the air with irresistible aromas that had everyone’s mouth-watering.
Whilst others engaged in some gentle seated hand exercises or a cuddle with our pet therapy dog Tinkerbell.
In the afternoon, at Farnham Mill, we dodged the rain to have a walk in the garden to check on the flowers.
Others stayed inside as we started to make and sew our special ‘Farnham Mill Friendship Quilt’.
9th October, New adventures, experiences, tastes and flavours for our Farnham Mill Ladies and Gents today.
Joined by our great friends, from Woodlands we boarded our bus and headed to ‘Ozone’ in Aldershot where we enjoyed a delicious meal in great and bright surroundings.
Thank you to all the staff for making us feel so welcome.

11th October, A bright and sunny Friday morning, at Farnham Mill, as we enjoyed some one-to-one balloon badminton, with our activities team.
A Friday afternoon is always full of warmth, love and smiles when our pet therapy dog, Tinkerbell comes to visit.
Farnham Mill residents thoroughly enjoyed a lively performance by Tracy Smith, singing along and dancing with joy. The atmosphere is filled with excitement as the residents enthusiastically participated, showcasing the positive impact of music and live entertainment in bringing happiness and energy to the community.
12th October, this morning at Farnham Mill, the residents enjoyed getting pampered with relaxing hand massages and manicures in a variety of lovely autumnal colours.

13th October, joyful voices and cherished memories filled the air in the morning at the day care centre as we sang hymns and reminisced through music. A beautiful day of connection and song!
We ended our Nepalese Week on a heartwarming note with a delicious bowl of traditional Nepalese daal soup. It’s rich, comforting flavours were the perfect way to warm up on this crisp day, bringing a taste of Nepal to our table and a fitting close to a week full of culture and celebration.
