Residents at Farnham Mill enjoyed a magical week at our ‘Night of the Prom’, filled with music, laughter, and dancing. From elegant attire to heartfelt performances, the residents embraced the spirit of celebration and created beautiful memories. In the afternoon, we listened to an unforgettable night of timeless melodies, Tim Straker’s Music of the Poems meets the brilliance of brass at A Night at the Proms. A symphony of sound, emotion, and tradition!
3rd September, finding solace in colours, melodies, and meaningful conversations! Therapeutic painting and singing are our go-to way to unwind and connect. These moments bring us so much joy and peace at Farnham Mill.
In the afternoon Farnham Mill headed over to Hill House for Woodlands & Hill Brow Dementia Choir for a wonderful event. Members from all four of our homes came together to enjoy a vibrant session filled with singing, dancing, and reconnecting with friends. The atmosphere was lively and heartwarming, as everyone participated in the joyous activities, creating cherished memories and strengthening bonds within the community.
4th September, at Farnham Mill we had our Residents Meeting where the residents discussed any issues or concerns they had, talked about the new winter menu, looked through the activity plan for September and handed out Sunflower awards to nominated staff.
A group of gentlemen from Farnham Mill went to the local pub this afternoon, the Shepherd and Flock, for a quick drink and lots of chatting and reminiscing. A lovely way to spend an afternoon.
5th September, on this wet morning at Farnham Mill we all had lots of fun doing some colourful painting, having lovely chats and reading todays paper.
The residents at Farnham Mill have had a lot of fun this afternoon cooking with Steve. They made some delicious Jeera chapati’s with a tikka salmon curry with a cucumber, onion and a tomato salad, which they all thoroughly enjoyed making and particularly enjoyed eating.
6th September, starting the day with a fun and energetic twist! This morning, we played music-themed bingo, and it was an absolute blast! From guessing iconic tunes to matching musical symbols, everyone was buzzing with excitement. There’s nothing like combining the joy of music with the thrill of a game to kickstart the morning on a high note! Whether you’re a melody master or just love to hum along, music bingo brings people together in the most harmonious way. Let the good vibes play on!
