Our creative staff, dressed as flight attendants, rolled out the ‘Farnham Mill Airlines’ snack trolley, offering residents a delightful selection of drinks and treats. This special event brought the excitement of air travel right to our halls, making Air Show Week a soaring success! And many more.
22nd July, to start our Air Show Week, Farnham Mill residents savoured drinks and treats at Blackbushe Airport Café, delighting in the view of planes taking off and landing in the morning.
As part of our ‘Air Show Week’, at Farnham Mill, we enjoyed a themed afternoon tea party with a quiz and a lovely talk from a resident who loved his career as a pilot.

23rd July, Tuesday morning the residents got creative working as a team to create an air show photo frame. We enjoyed doing a photoshoot this afternoon. Smile and wave.
An enchanting afternoon filled with live music and heartfelt joy as Tracy Smith sang and danced, bringing infectious energy to our residents. The room was alive with laughter and movement, creating cherished memories as everyone joined in the fun, celebrating life and the magic of music together.

July 25th, continuing with our ‘Air Show Week’, at Farnham Mill we got very arty and crafty with the designing of our own ‘Farnham Mill Spitfires’. Lots of painted coloured clothes pegs left us feeling very proud and happy with our achievements.
Thursday afternoon, our weekly Farnham Mill flower arranging afternoon, we enjoyed and appreciated the tradition and beauty of an ‘English Rose’.
26th July, a colourful start to our Friday, with some bright and engaging parachute time in the lounge. A chance to really stretch our arms and strengthen our muscles whilst having fun and a chat at the same time. Others took the opportunity to enjoy time in the gardens with friends.
Looking after our wellbeing, this afternoon, at Farnham Mill, with a relaxing and calming hand massage and foot spa. Already for a busy weekend of activities and cherished visits from family and friends.
27th July, Saturday morning, we started off in the sunshine, with garden walks admiring the little ducklings on the pond. We also enjoyed a selection of activities on the balcony getting our bodies active and hand eye to coordination. Some residents opted to get their brains active with board games. This was all followed by a lovely al fresco lunch out on the balcony.
What an idealistic morning!
Farnham Mill had a relaxing afternoon getting pampered with hand massages and nail painting. Spending time out in the fresh air also colouring and reminiscing over old photographs.
28th July, Sunday morning, our residents enjoyed participating in a quiz with words beginning with air to finish off our air show week.
This sparked discussions within the lounges sharing different experiences that the residents had with air travel.
At Farnham Mill this afternoon we immersed in nature with painting and nattering while some enjoyed a serine stroll through vibrant paths in our very own garden. Other residents engaged all their senses at our multi-sensory omni table leading to a very busy afternoon and end to our week.
