15th July, Monday morning brought smiles and colour to our day. We started by strengthening our arms and muscles with some colourful scarf exercises followed by a game of ‘Cowboy Skittles’ to enhance our hand to eye coordination whilst having lots of fun and interaction with one another.

Enjoying a delightful afternoon tea with a touch of trivia and cowboy quiz with Susie and sweet tunes from our lovely volunteer Molly this afternoon at Farnham Mill.

We also had Tim Straker play some bass band,  which some of our resident’s thought was a wonderful experience.

By considering personal preferences and sensitivities, listening to bass band songs can be a delightful and enriching experience for elderly individuals.

16th July, Tuesday morning we experienced the joy of play and the challenge of balance with balloon badminton- a fun twist on a classic game for all ages!

Hill Brow and Woodland’s residents joined us at Farnham Mill this afternoon, uniting voices and hearts, the dementia choir brings joy, connection, and hope through the power of music, proving that harmony transcends memory.

17th July, Wednesday morning the sun came out and on went our hats. A warm, friendly, cosy chat with friends, on the balcony, at Farnham Mill.

Our Wednesday weekly Morning Music Therapy, at Farnham Mill, had us all joining in with some familiar tunes from the years gone by. As we start to relax, we remember the words and it brings such joy to our day to sing along and tap to the rhythm of the music.

The sun came out and so did we. Time spent in our beautiful, Farnham Mill gardens is simply the very best.

A beautiful sunny day for our afternoon out at Squires garden centre. A trip out on our bus and the chance to have a browse, check out ‘the pet’s corner’, see the aquarium and enjoy a coffee and cake in the café. Another wonderful experience for our ladies and gents.

18th July, we had a visit from our friends at Tootsies nursery the residents love helping the kids build creative masterpieces with their Lego.

The residents also enjoyed a fun game of cowboy hat toss helping the residents with mobility and eye coordination in a fun and enjoyable way.

In the afternoon, the residents enjoyed flower arranging with an afternoon tea. It was so lovely to have so many beautiful flowers keeping the home looking so bright and vibrant.

Farnham Mill residents put their chef jackets on this afternoon for cooking club to make some delicious cowboy stew containing sausage and bacon and some honey cornbread. A fun afternoon outside with lots of chatter around the table.

19th July,  the morning at Farnham Mill was full of Friday cuddles and lots of smiles, with our Pet Therapy Dog Tinkerbell.

We are so lucky at Farnham Mill, to have such wonderful gardens and balcony space to enjoy our ‘Alfresco Fish Friday Lunch’.

Fun in the sun, this afternoon at Farnham Mill, with our wonderful friend Natasha.

A cowboy themed afternoon of dancing, singing, smiling and laughter.

Thank you, Natasha, from us all.

20th July, our Saturday morning, was full of fun and choices.

Some joined in with cowboy games, in the lounge, others chose some therapeutic painting, a chat with a friend or a browse around the beautiful garden.

Birthday celebrations, in the garden with family and friends, for our lovely lady.

All our Farnham Mill family wish you a very Happy Birthday.

21st July, a pleasant start with the weather, this morning at Farnham Mill, so we enjoyed a game of ‘rodeo bingo’ on the balcony. No numbers but instead we searched our bingo cards for a cowgirl, a pair of boots and a sheriff’s badge.

The last day of our ‘cowboy themed week’ as we enjoyed a visit from our very own Farnham Mill chuck wagon. Delicious snacks fit for any cowboy or cowgirl including beef jerky, pretzels, nachos and marshmallows.
