Dear Food lovers and ‘’Readers’’!

Get ready to embark on a culinary adventure like no other! We are thrilled to welcome you to International Food Week, a vibrant celebration of global flavours and the shared joy of food with our residents. Whether you’re a seasoned home cook, a passionate foodie, or someone who simply loves to explore new taste, this week promises to be a feast for your senses.

Throughout International Food Week, we will be bringing our residents a smorgasbord of exciting activities and events. From live cooking demonstrations with our chef Steve to tantalizing recipes, cultural insights, food quiz, and food tasting, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

A quieter start to our Monday, after a busy and very warm weekend, at Farnham Mill.

A social gathering, in the lounge, to enjoy a word game and some morning chatter with visitors, family and staff.

As part of our international Food Week, at Farnham Mill, we enjoyed a very special Parisian tea party and quiz afternoon. Lots of hot tea and delicious Croissants served with fresh cream and drizzled with white chocolate.

Tuesday, we had fun with our sensory arts and crafts including pasta in our arts to kick start international food week at Farnham Mill making dried pasta collages.

Our residents taking part in Steve’s gardening club, hopefully soon we will be able to taste some of our very own home grown vegetables.

Our Wednesday morning, at Farnham Mill, was spent enjoying the sunshine and gardens, as well as taking part in our weekly group music therapy session or socialising, in the lounge, with some fun food facts.

Our cooking club with chef Steve is proving a popular weekly event at Farnham Mill. Wednesday afternoon, we delighted our taste buds and tempted our sense of smell with a delicious homemade Thai curry.

Morning word games, in the lounge, at Farnham Mill as we chatted about foods from around the world and our likes and dislikes.

The sight of a smile and the touch of a hand brings such joy to our day. Our little nursery school friends are a ray of sunshine and love to join us, at Farnham Mill, for arts and crafts.

A lovely trip out to the lake house in Aldershot with our wonderful Farnham Mill residents. We all had such a wonderful time, lots of delicious cakes and treats and the beautiful view.

Today was all about different foods to continue with our international food themed week.

A time of the year that we love, at Farnham Mill, when we can enjoy our live musical entertainment in the warm weather and lovely gardens.

Welcoming the weekend, to Farnham Mill, with some time and chatter in the gardens, a word game in the lounge and visits from family and friends.

Saturday afternoon, we delighted our taste buds with an Italian feast. Everyone had the chance to join in with our seated party or choose from our travelling trolley with Italian treats, throughout the floors. Delicious crostini, salami, arancini, mortadella and many more treats. All enjoyed with a glass of Italian wine.

A beautiful mix of morning sunshine and new books at Farnham Mill on Sunday morning. The residents had a good rummage through the selection and read through a mix of interesting biography’s producing plenty of smiles.

An afternoon full of sunshine at Farnham Mill, our residents enjoyed ice creams and refreshments in the garden. We hope everyone enjoyed their sunny Sunday.
