Starting our Monday off, at Farnham Mill, with some gentle, fun exercises to encourage our muscles to stay strong and release endorphins for our mood to be a healthy, happy one.
Starting the ‘’Military week’’ with an afternoon tea and a quiz. A time to reminisce and learn about the armed forces whilst enjoying tea and a selection of homemade cakes.
While the afternoon tea party was going on, we also had the sweet and treats trolley touring, to make sure we see and visit everybody in the home.
We shared and enjoyed some delicious and nostalgic chocolates that we have enjoyed, throughout our lives, with our families and friends.
A very delicious Fry’s chocolate cream and Turkish delight first produced in 1866 and 1914 and everyone’s festive favourite, quality street which we welcomed in 1936.
Tuesday morning, to keep our brains going we played our Farnham Mill classic favourite noughts and crosses, as well as the Omi table taking part in sensory games, a quiz as well as some singing and dancing around the table.
In the afternoon, we had the lovely Tracy Smith performing for us at Farnham Mill.

Lots of singing and dancing together with residents and staff and we all had such a great time.
A very pleasant morning spent with our music therapist expert Gabrielle and her protégé Hermione.
A chance to be serenaded, listening to therapeutic music as well as creating your own sounds helps to calm our mind and our bodies benefit from it too.
Our weekly catch up with our good friends from Lord Wandsworth College.
We love it when they come to visit, chat, and enjoy tea and cake with us. We can’t wait to hear all their stories and to share our Farnham Mill news with them.
We are so appreciative of their time and their smiles.
In the morning, our residents had the pleasure of spending time with the lovely children of Tootsies Nursery. Whether it is a quick hello or enjoying some art and craft with them, it is always a firm favourite when they visit.
Our residents had a wonderful afternoon at the Aldershot Military Museum.
Lots of reminiscing and stories of our own experiences of military life. It wasn’t the officers mess, but we did have tea and biscuits in the café.
Friday fun and pampering day.
A chance to join in with a game of skittles and afterwards relax with a therapeutic hand massage and pamper.
Saturday morning, our residents discovered lots of new fun facts through our card game.
In the afternoon, we kept busy with ball games, puzzles and dominos.
Sunday morning, we started our preparation for February 14th with some lovely, red, valentine arts and crafts.
Keeping hydrated, with some fresh fruit and cool juices from our trolley.
