A festive Monday at Farnham Mill with all our favourite things. In the afternoon we enjoyed a Christmassy quiz with our lovely volunteer, some artistic candle colouring, a very wordy game of scrabble and of course tea and cake.
Tuesday morning, for Christmas around the world, our residents took part in ‘yarn wrapped yule goats’ which is a tradition from eastern Europe to mark the beginning of advent.
Keeping the goat theme here at Farnham Mill, this morning we had a visit from two lovely pygmy goats which our residents always enjoy.
In the afternoon Wendy Williams kindly offered to sing for our residents, which all of them enjoyed.
Simply amazing! Wednesday morning, we were entertained by the wonderful voices of the Edgeborough School Choir.
We were moved by the sweetness of their singing and their courage to sing solos for us. We were so thrilled to welcome the boys and girls to Farnham Mill and delighted to have made new friends.

In the afternoon we settled down to watch the Russian ballet on YouTube, on our new projector while enjoying hot drinks and treats.
Pick a card and have your fortune told by our Russian fortune tellers as part of our Christmas around the world week at Farnham Mill.
Tootsie’s nursery joined us on Saturday for Christmas card making, we enjoyed their company, they were all bundles of joy and brought smiles and laughter to all of us.
Thursday morning, festive fun, with a game of Christmas bingo with a Christmas twist. No numbers, just Santa, wise men, candy canes and a delicious mince pie.
Thursday afternoon, “Tap About Town”- the tap dance show came to perform for us, it is an amazing show and all our residents got involved, clapping and singing different Christmas songs from around the world
Friday, our wonderful residents celebrated with a traditional 3 course Christmas meal and a visit from Santa which of course wouldn’t be complete without Christmas presents.
Saturday afternoon, we sat down with our mulled wine and enjoyed some group carol singing.
A lovely relaxing Sunday morning, with games on offer for those who chose to join in, there was board games, balloon bounce and some stretches.
