A very festive Monday at Farnham Mill. The trees and decorations are up with the help of some of our lovely residents, and background festive music.
The Christmas hats are on, and the kettle is boiling as we enjoyed afternoon tea with a quiz all about Christmas traditions.
Tuesday morning, we are fully in the Christmas spirit as we listen to wonderful Christmas songs and reminisce about Christmases of the past as some of our residents took part in tree decorating.
Tuesday afternoon, we had the very talented Jimmy Kent visit, he serenaded us with his lovely voice, we sang and danced along to the Christmas music together.
We also had our adorable therapy dog Tinkerbell come and join us afterwards, our residents are always thrilled to see her.
A motivational Wednesday morning, of music therapy at Farnham Mill.
The relaxing joy of music helps us to feel happy and engaged and it allows us to reminisce through the journey of our lives.
Wednesday afternoon, we welcomed Julie, one of the activities co-ordinator from Hill House, we had a very sociable afternoon of tea, cake, and chatter.
Thursday morning, we welcomed staff, residents, friends and family to join with our Thursday St. Andrews day quiz. Seeing how many words we could make from “St. Andrews”, it was not only challenging but a great, fun team effort.
As the word game was happening on the ground floor, some of our residents on different floors were colouring/painting St. Andrew’s pictures and creating their own masterpieces.
Thursday afternoon is always our flower arranging day, creating beautiful arrangements every week.
Friday morning, festive baking at Farnham Mill. We really do make exceedingly good mince pies.
Friday afternoon, we welcomed the 1st of Dec to Farnham Mill, with a delicious mince pie and a warming glass of mulled wine.
Spending time together and doing the things that make us smile is what makes Farnham Mill such a happy place.
It was a pleasure to have the charity “Families Supporting Care” hold their Christmas Fayre at Farnham Mill. We were thrilled to open our doors and welcome them into our home for this special event.
Another relaxing Sunday morning at Farnham Mill, church services for our residents, garden walks and a game of good old classic noughts and crosses.
In the afternoon, we put on a Christmas movie – Home Alone, as we sat and watched, we thoroughly enjoyed all sorts of treats and chocolates.
