We are delighted to announce that on Wednesday 8th May 2019 we were presented with not one but two external accolades, recognising two of our homes within the Care Home Community South.

Farnham Mill Nursing Home were the winners of Care Team of the Year 2019 & Hill House were awarded Unsung Hero 2019 to David Maxted, for his selfless volunteering and dedication to our residents.

There are over 2945 care homes in the South East, so winning really is a testament to our team and volunteers. Frimley Care Home Forum invited us to the awards ceremony, that took place locally in Yateley, The Cassa Hotel. Alison and Jo the General Manager took Sahlee the Manager of Farnham Mill with her team, Ryan, Michael, & Sarah and David along for the awards ceremony not knowing whether we would win the awards.
When the winner of the Care Team of the Year award was announced Sahlee was totally elated for her team, and the acknowledgement that her relatively new team had stood out from the crowd, Sahlee and her team couldn’t wait to get back to Farnham Mill to show all the residents, staff and relatives their achievement. Then to add to an already fabulous result, David, Hill House’s volunteer, charity trustee for, ‘Families Supporting Care’ was announced as the winner of Unsung Hero, for his daily contributions to the residents, staff and relatives at Hill House. Watching him collect the award, was a very proud moment for Alison and she felt honoured to have such wonderful people, full of adoration in her residents’ lives, who make all the homes outstanding.
