On the 1st of April we opened the month with a Birthday celebration and an April Fools Quiz after our morning exercises. In the afternoon, after lunch Zara joined us for Pat the Dog.

On the 2nd, preparation for Easter began with bonnet making and painting. All of the resident got involved with their own individual take on an Easter Bonnet.

The 3rd started with a word search using The Boat Race and was followed in the afternoon by the wonderful Vic Cracknell singing for us on the 2nd floor.

Easter Crafts continued on the 5th with some very colourful egg painting to help get us in the spirit of the season.

On the 8th the lovely children from Tootsie’s came to visit. The residents love to spend time with the children chatting and helping them with their chick plates.

Zara was back in the afternoon. She visited everyone in the home and is such a lovely dog, always wants to pat or a cuddle.

On the 10th we had a pop-up shop by the Edinburgh Wool Mill. It was very interesting to chat to the ladies who were very knowledgeable.

On the afternoon of Friday the 12th ,we had Favourite Musicals singalong with Sarah, on the 2nd floor.

Some of the residents got the instruments out to play along with the singing.

Balloon Bounce and floor basket and ball are always good way to start the day. On the 15th everyone gets to have a turn and it never fails to make us smile.

Flower arranging is another weekly favourite with our lovely ladies. This week’s arrangement was extra special.

On the 16th we had the judging by Alison, of the Easter Bonnets with a parade of everyone’s bonnets. We have some very talented residents.

On the 18th after puzzles in the lounge most of the residents decided to go outside and enjoy the grounds in the warm spring air.

The wonderful weather continued into the Easter weekend and with lots of friends and family visiting there was a lot going on.

The new Ice cream maker was a big hit with the residents and visitors alike!

There was an Easter Egg hunt for the children and with help from their grandparents for ideas on where they may be hidden it was a hit.

On the 22nd ,Sarah puts the residents through their paces with their morning chair exercises.

As the weather was still so beautiful most of the residents decided to spend the afternoon in the gorgeous gardens.

There was a spot of golf on the 2nd floor balcony.

The Dominoes club is ever growing and this week had some new players.

Kelly the Magician, a new entertainer to Farnham Mill put on a spectacular show on the 24th. We will definitely be seeing her again.

Alison visited us in the morning with her lovely, friendly goats. They are so soft and happy to be held and fed.

The 26th was a fruity Friday, with some delicious fruit tasting.

Gareth visits us in the afternoon and got everyone up singing and dancing. It was a great way to end the month.
