Now we are fully into Autumn we can see the lovely colours of the trees around the Mill pond and garden.
For bonfire night the residents enjoyed decorating cupcakes and made them look like little bonfires.

At Farnham Mill we now have two local nursery schools that visit us every fortnight – Tootsies and Bright Horizons.  The children love doing activities and arts and crafts with our residents. Everyone is quickly striking up great friendships.

Alison brought in her pygmy goats to show the residents.  They were very sweet, we were able to hold and they were very soft to stroke them.   We are hoping for another visit of them very soon.

We all sang along to celebrated Bernie’s birthday with a lovely cake and lots of candles for him to blow out.

Our Pet Therapy dog, Zara, is now a regular visitor.  She enjoys saying hello to us all.

We’ve also had a great month for entertainers:

Lydia Margaret came to perform one afternoon singing some traditional songs of Remembrance like, We’ll meet again, It’s a Long Way to Tipperary, etc.  We all enjoyed joining in.

The Farnham Rock Choir came and sung to us and then joined us for tea and cake and a chat.

And then very talented John performed for us with his guitar and mandolin performed for us.

Some of the resident’s grandchildren have enjoyed joining in with some of our craft activities.

Eden, Alison, Benja and Joan making some lovely leaf pictures.

Christmas preparations have started with us dressing the Christmas trees.  Residents, staff and families were all involved.
