Friends catching up on the pontoon outside on a Saturday morning – how we love enjoying our outside areas at Farnham Mill whatever the weather.  A chance to put the world to rights.

Monday morning and our residents decided that they wanted to start the day with painting and it was also an opportunity to meet our new Activities Co-ordinator, Prabesh.  In the afternoon we got out our golf clubs had a go at putting on our balcony and enjoying sometime in the garden.

Tuesday was a day spent doing puzzles and word searches.  All around the home we concentrated on finding words and joining in with a word game in the main lounge.

Wednesday 25 August and it was a full house for Giant Crossword Time with David, our volunteer.  We all helped to complete the crossword in record time.  Well done everyone.

In the afternoon, after checking on the ducks on the pond, we had some great table tennis matches.  It was a chance to get together and cheer each other on and make new friends, of course.

Thursday morning and we had a choice of colouring, or jigsaw puzzles.  How nice to relax with a cup of tea and then proudly show off our artwork.

Those that wanted to be more energetic played balloon bounce – a great way to stretch and exercise.

Thursday afternoon and it was our regular Flower Arranging Club.  Lots of lovely colourful flowers to arrange and reminisce about what we used to grow in our gardens.  It is something we are very grateful for our Care Partners organising for us.

Friday 27 August and after playing a few games in the morning  we were all looking forward to our entertainer performing in the afternoon.  He was new to Farnham Mill residents but proved to be a big hit singing lots of our favourite Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra songs.

Saturday morning and we explored our Interactive Table.  There are so many options on this, hitting balloons, quizzes or just watching fish in a rock pool.  Its an amazing piece of equipment and we are so lucky to have two at Farnham Mill.

After our dancing and singing on Friday afternoon we had a quieter day, relaxing doing puzzles, art and just joking and laughing together.

Sunday at Farnham Mill and we always show the local church service from Badshot Lea and Hale church in one of the lounges.  Some of our residents like to come together and sing hymns and pray before lunch.

After a delicious Sunday Roast dinner, we sat down to watch the afternoon film.  This is proving to be very popular with our residents and its always a good film choice and a nice relaxing way to end a busy week.
