Another week of wonderful sunshine! We have taken every opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, with picnics and ice creams making good use of the patios and the balcony with the fantastic view over the Mill Pond. The Gardening Club doing a wonderful job. Indoors we have had quiz’s, arts and crafts, puzzles and games.

Monday saw the residents at Farnham Mill enjoying a beautiful Spring day, with the ducks, by the millpond. They enjoyed a morning tea and coffee and of course a biscuit or two.

There was a bit of a competion on guessing the names of the beautiful plants and flowers all around us.

Our excersize for the day was a variety of Ball Games kept us entertained, whilst some of us sat and chatted for ages.

Tuesday the sun shone again on our Farnham Mill Family and the residents took to the courtyard to join in at Gardening Club. The greener fingered ones had a go at planting and watering whist some preferred to watch and relax in the shade.

A keen audience decided to watched to make sure the plants are being fed and watered and chatted about their own gardens and veg patches successes and failures. After the hard afternoon of gardening much needed refreshments of ice lollies and cool drinks were served on the terrace and enjoyed by everyone.

On Wednesday the Craft Club met for a Seaside themed morning of painting, chatting and fun. Even the nurses couldn’t resist joining in to paint boats in beautiful bright colours.

We had a little practice sailing them ready for our Seaside Party on 12th June. A clear winner for sure!

Thursday the sun shone beautifully again at Farnham Mill and everybody took to the gardens and terrace. Some relaxed with their feet up and others checked on the flowers and gave them a much-needed haircut!!!!

Chatting with good friends and looking out for one other, happy times!!

CHEERS AND BINGO!!!!!!!

A game of Outside Musical Bingo on Friday saw everyone enjoying a sing along to some favourite songs whilst enjoying a cool delicious cocktail. Beautiful pink and yellow umbrellas and not a rain drop in sight!

Everybody enjoyed a relaxing afternoon, after their cocktails, some had an afternoon snooze, some of the more competitive played games and won and some had a quiet moment to catch up on family messages and emails.

ROYAL TIMES AT THE MILL

Huge excitement at the Mill on Saturday morning when mail arrived from The Palace for one very special couple who were celebrating their Platinum Wedding Anniversary.

Congratulations from us all!

Craft Club saw the residents getting together to make decorated love hearts for a local church flower show. Lots of glue, tissue paper, laughter and of course mess as the residents sang songs and chatted together.

Friendship and relaxation by the pond on Sunday after a busy week at The Mill.

Special moments as a birthday present puzzle of a lovely family is completed and proudly displayed for all to see.
